Amy is a trauma-informed psychotherapist who specializes in helping women heal from trauma, anxiety, and difficult life experiences. She provides a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental space where clients can explore their experiences and begin their healing journey.
Amy is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and integrates a somatic, mind-body approach to therapy. Her work is also informed by Polyvagal Theory, helping clients understand how trauma impacts the nervous system and how the body can be involved in the healing process.
She works primarily with women experiencing trauma, PTSD, anxiety, grief, and the lasting effects of difficult childhood experiences. Amy’s approach is gentle, collaborative, and paced according to each client’s readiness.
Amy holds a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology and offers virtual therapy sessions across Ontario.
